The Fog

Posted by
Scott F. Schilling (San Martin, United States) on 28 August 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Quite amazing!
Did this require filtration i.e. ND filter?

28 Aug 2010 8:02am

@Curly: No filters on this one. It was well after sunset and I used iso and aperture to get a long exposure to show the motion of the fog.

@Look from Nivelles, Belgium

May be too "noisy" in the foreground, but a reallly nice composition with shapes, colours and light !
Kind regards

What an amazing effect you obtained with your long exposure. The colors above and then the lights below the fog are wonderful. People are commenting on the noise. If it were burned away, you would lose the bit of color you captured, right?

I love this image Scott - the 61-second exposure turned the fog into a silky liquid and allowed for some visual motion in this scene. Hope you and Chris are having a good time in Canada. Tell her "good luck" with her race!
