I'm smiling at John's comment about slow exposures. I'd like to try them also, but when our water is barely moving, no whitecaps or waves, it just looks like an out-of-focus shot! :D

So your commentary sparks a question. Are the waves harsher in winter? I know due to storms they can be but that can be during the summer too. I'm a landlubber so I really don't know. They look frothy, churning pretty much throughout your scene here. The clarity of the blue probably downplays some of that power with beauty. Still I can imagine things getting smashed on these rocks due to current.

Your good selection of shutter speed turns these winter waves into minute ripples. Love the beautiful blue water which serves as a great contrast to the rock's color.

This is lovely Scott! The water looks like an oil painting. I love this more intimate view when we are so used to large scapes...Just beautiful!
