This is another composition of a sunset from the top of Fremont Peak, California. A few minutes after the sunset - there were God rays of colored light that must have been due to high clouds or dust in the atmosphere. I have not seen this very often. To me it almost looks like the Northern Lights - It was quite spectacular! This view shows the lights of San Juan Bautista below the fog, and in the distance Gilroy and Morgan Hill, California. The fog is covering the Monterey and Santa Cruz Bay area. Also, you can see Loma Prieta in the center horizon, I think Tracy said it was at 4,100 ft. in elevation. On the far right horizon is Mt. Hamilton, a peak over 4,000 ft. in elevation which overlooks the San Jose area.
