Old Redwood Trunk

Posted by
Scott F. Schilling (San Martin, United States) on 3 May 2009 in Landscape & Rural.

When you go to science camp as a parent chaperone kids literally do come out of the woodwork! This is my 6th grade son Nathan who climbed up into this old redwood trunk. Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park.

This is so cool to have your kid on a photo. It gives a super feeling how huge these trees are .
Excellent photo !

Wonderful image, Scott, and Nathan adds scale. Without him, we would have no idea how huge that trunk really is.

Hi Scott, a nice playful image with a subtle sense of adding scale to these impressive trees by having your son pose in one of them. Keep up the excellent work.

A true 'classic' Scott - this is about the only solution to conveying the scale of the wondrous life-forms.

Great shot of Nathan - same name as our youngest son. He looks like a "natural" in the forest.
