The last touch of light hits the clouds high over Lake Tahoe as a snow squall approaches the South Shore of Lake Tahoe.

That huge rock looks like a whale with a smile ... see its eye? I suppose it is fending off whatever weather comes its way, and has been for decades. I like the light you've captured in this image, Scott.

Hi Scott - I am so sorry for missing some of your recent posts. This image is really captivating, and that classic Tahoe turquoise blue is spectaculary placed on display here thanks to your composition. I really find so many things in this image to absorb and breath-in. My eyes began, with the clouds in the sky actually, the pink rose surrounded by the greay - how cool is that? Another feature that I personally like is the reflected light off the lake surface in the right hand side of the frame. To me, that sets things off so nicely in the balance of the image! The old rock with its very dark splotches just seems to be telling an age old story of winters, springs and summers past! This is truly a masterful image Scott...only you!
