Eagle Falls - Lake TahoePosted by Scott F. Schilling (San Martin, United States) on 7 June 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. An early morning shows colorful first light at Eagle Falls overlooking Lake Tahoe and Emerald Bay. I got my shoes soaking wet getting to this location for this image, with warm weather the day before the river was running very full! Don Smith was smart for taking off his shoes before crossing! I had to go to breakfast with wet shoes and very cold feet. The water is melted snow right from the high mountains that provide a dramatic backdrop for this location along the shoreline. Springtime provides the clearest water in Lake Tahoe due to the melted snow runoff. I felt very fortunate on this morning because the sky had some high clouds which glowed with gold and deep red tones prior to sunrise. I WILL BE CO-TEACHING PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS IN 2012 AND 2013, AND PRIVATE INSTRUCTION IN YOSEMITE VALLEY! THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE YOUR VISION, SKILLS, AND TECHNIQUE!
