This is a composite of 3 images taken over an hour period after sunset from Moro Rock in Sequoia National Park - looking west towards the Central Valley of California. The Moon and Saturn or Jupiter - not sure which one?, are close together in the upper left hand side of the frame. It's super. 7 Nov 2009 5:42am @Nigel: This is the exact same image taken over approximately 1 hour - each image - 20 minutes apart - the stars are so bright in the higher elevations that I can only process the image used for the sky portion to get a small portion of the stars to show.
