Navajo National MonumentPosted by Scott F. Schilling (San Martin, United States) on 21 June 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. A view of the Navajo National Monument area from one of the roadway vista points. I tried to compress the view by using my 70-200mm zoom lens. This area is spectacular and I could have spent a couple days here, there are so many features that catch your eye from the landscape forms to the trees an vegetation. Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainGreat depth in this fantastic and colorful image of this space. Some day I will cross the ocean and the country to see this with my own eyes :) 21 Jun 2009 5:17am Miguel Almeida from Lisboa, PortugalHi Scott, 21 Jun 2009 7:51am zOOm from Paris, FranceYour series remind me so many things. I also went there in 1978 with my parents. I was 14 years old. What an unforgettable trip it was. I still see all these wonderful landscapes when I close my eyes. 21 Jun 2009 9:04am Bill Jennings from (Bay Area Northern Calif), United Stateswhat a beautiful expanse: and I love the sharpness throughout the image, and your composition is very strong. Great job! 21 Jun 2009 11:12am Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, CanadaA well crafted shot Scott! Beautiful and breathtaking! Well done! ;-) 21 Jun 2009 11:51am Tracy from La Selva Beach, United StatesThe colors are stunning, Scott. A wonderful choice of lens, too. I agree that there is so much to see in this area that it is difficult to know how to compose each photograph. You have done a spectacular job here! In this one I love the long view, but to me the little tuft of grass in the left foreground is just that perfect thing to catch my attention & start my eye going into the background. 21 Jun 2009 1:39pm john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesThe superb foreground and the classic Southwestern sky really set off the red rock formations. Beautiful composition. Outstanding processing. 21 Jun 2009 4:26pm dkc from Xanthi, GreeceAmazing landscape Scott...Like the vertical composition and the big shadows over the mountains! 21 Jun 2009 7:02pm Christopher from Atlanta, United StatesWhat a panoramic. I can't wait. 21 Jun 2009 9:21pm Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, FranceA fantastic point of view and colors are really stunning. 22 Jun 2009 9:18am Don Smith from California, United StatesGood morning Scott, I shoot very little once the sun has risen. You have demonstrated with this image that beautiful images are possible in full sunlight - well done! BTW - my office is just about empty and ready for the renovation project to begin. 22 Jun 2009 2:03pm Mike from North West, United KingdomI know what you mean Scott about features.... there is always so much to see.
