Another beautiful image from Monument Valley Scott. You certainly maximized your opportunities while you were there. There are many reasons this image works. You have created depth by using the foreground chaparral as elements to lead the eye into the frame as well as give it some depth clues. I also like that you didn't "bulls eye" the buttes thus allowing the lit cloud to serve as its own subject. The spacing between all the objects creates a nice left-to-right flow. Finally, the color in the cloud attracts the eye and leads it through the frame - it also serves the add that "kiss" to bring the image to life - well done!

This is stunning! The color and light are beautiful, and I just love the composition! I love that you favored the foreground. It's beautiful in its own right, and also allow the beautiful sky to "pop" that much more. The placement of the buttes is just perfect!! :)
