An excellent compostion...bravo! 19 Jun 2009 12:56pm Don Smith from California, United StatesAnother beautiful image from Monument Valley Scott. You certainly maximized your opportunities while you were there. There are many reasons this image works. You have created depth by using the foreground chaparral as elements to lead the eye into the frame as well as give it some depth clues. I also like that you didn't "bulls eye" the buttes thus allowing the lit cloud to serve as its own subject. The spacing between all the objects creates a nice left-to-right flow. Finally, the color in the cloud attracts the eye and leads it through the frame - it also serves the add that "kiss" to bring the image to life - well done! 19 Jun 2009 1:11pm john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesStunning sky. Very strong foreground. Beautifully done. 19 Jun 2009 2:11pm ZoomLNZ from Los Angeles Area, United StatesA beautiful capture of this rugged country. It needs to be framed and hanging on a wall. 19 Jun 2009 2:47pm Ken from United StatesScott. your images are always breathtaking. The soft colors are wonderful. This shot has a lonely feel to it like one is about to be out there alone, and night is coming. 19 Jun 2009 3:16pm Pavan Kaul from Mumbai, IndiaThere is something so beautiful yet so very lonesome about this most evocative picture...maybe because its the end to another day and those gallant peaks standing there...so alone...for so long...Great work Scott:) 19 Jun 2009 5:58pm Jen from St. George, United StatesThis is stunning! The color and light are beautiful, and I just love the composition! I love that you favored the foreground. It's beautiful in its own right, and also allow the beautiful sky to "pop" that much more. The placement of the buttes is just perfect!! :) 19 Jun 2009 9:22pm dkc from Xanthi, GreeceOne of the best panoramic photos in the community....The composition is brilliant as these rocks are standing right there so proud and waiting for the day to pass. Great photo Scott! 19 Jun 2009 10:18pm Lambspun from Madison, Maine, United StatesOh my...what can I say.
