Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainIt's a very good composition and not easy at all because of this hard light coming from the right. 15 Apr 2009 5:17am Ravi from Bangalore, IndiaAmazing landscape. The variation of light and that greenish ting in sea waters is very nice. 15 Apr 2009 5:23am Arantza from Menorca, SpainA fantastic composition, colors extraordinary, as always a perfect picture !!!! 15 Apr 2009 6:09am xavier cardell from menorca-barcelona, SpainExcellent composition and excellent light. Brilliant landscape 15 Apr 2009 7:28am P J W Miller from Chase Terrace, United KingdomThis is a nice seascape Scott, the sea in the centre is a nice rich colour as is the beach, there are some shadow/highlight issues and a little unnatural lighting but as stated elsewhere the strong light from the right has not made it easy. Overall a good composition 15 Apr 2009 7:42am Pavan Kaul from Mumbai, IndiaOh, so here you are Scott, back in your element with a stunningly beautiful picture! Wonderfully composed, a lovely green in the sea, luminous sepia clouds and perfect exposure! Well done! 15 Apr 2009 7:51am Sarah from Suisse, SwitzerlandFantastic! Colours, movement, texture, flow... it has everything! 15 Apr 2009 8:35am DaveB from Exeter, United KingdomFantastic lighting in this one, and magical landscape. Wicked shot! 15 Apr 2009 10:35am alireza from tehran, Iranvery beautifull. i like this pic. thanks 4 share it :-) 15 Apr 2009 10:55am Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, CanadaBeautiful shot Scott! This is very tough lighting; but you have handled it well. Nice veriegated colours across the shot! ;-) 15 Apr 2009 12:09pm B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United StatesIt was a mention of your photos on Twitter that first brought me to aminus3, so thanks for the motivation to post a few myself. Your photos are beautiful. 15 Apr 2009 3:05pm "Marie" :-) from perth, AustraliaHi Scott, looks superb to me, you should put a photo onto the critique section in the forum. It is really good, and you will get some really serious feedback. Give it a go. I did, I learned a lot, I am sure you would pick something up, even though you are obviously a great photographer..... Beuatiful photo scott. 15 Apr 2009 4:25pm Ajay from Pune, IndiaBrilliant colour composition. I love the framing. But most of all I just love that seascape. It's beauty in abundance. 15 Apr 2009 4:45pm dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United StatesLove the colors in this one. It is quite a beautiful landscape. 15 Apr 2009 5:04pm @Christopher: Thanks for the comments - this is not HDR in the more normal sense of using an HDR program - I did the processing in CS4 and used layers to darken the sky and mask it in for additional detail in the clouds - this photograph was difficult because it was taken in bright light - so it is a bit harsh in terms of the light - I attempted to work with it is as much as possible in CS4 and get a decent result. Tracy from La Selva Beach, United StatesI think it is quite beautiful-- I always love this place. Your composition has a nice sense of seclusion, which I don't usually feel when I see images taken here! Great Job! 15 Apr 2009 7:14pm Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United StatesYour attempt worked beautifully ... this is drop-dead GORGEOUS, but that's not unusual. Judging by the time it took for this image to load (compared to others here on AM3), I'm thinking you're uploading very large images. I upload a maximum of 800 pixels in width due to AM3's compression and previous requests. Can you enlighten me on this? 15 Apr 2009 9:30pm @Judy: Judy, I went back and checked and this is about the same size as the rest - I use CS4 and format it specifically for web use on the file menu - save as - the original jpg size is 899x600 which probably gets downsized a bit on AM3 and the overall file size is 300kb - usually my upload file sizes are about 225-300kb so it should upload pretty quick. Jen from St. George, United StatesGreat job capturing that amazing light. I can imagine myself standing there, squinting! It seems so bright, and yet it's just perfectly balanced in your photo. I love the way it plays across the leaves in the foreground and highlights the rock face and falls. Beautiful! 15 Apr 2009 9:41pm Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesAmong your all time best, Scott - and that's quite a statement on its own. Splendid! 15 Apr 2009 11:49pm Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandBeautiful!!! Nicely composed and the colours are wonderful;-) 16 Apr 2009 12:15am MontereyJohn from Salinas, California, United StatesYour processing is just so cool. I was getting ready to put a bunch of McWay Falls images up ... but now I feel self-conscious. But, I'll pull myslef together and put some up over the enxt few days after my pre-posts clear :) 16 Apr 2009 4:19am Photosanity from Folsom, United StatesAbsolutely wonderful shot Scott! I love it! 16 Apr 2009 6:11am ZoomLNZ from Los Angeles Area, United StatesWhat a beautiful shot this is.
