Big Sur Dawn

Posted by Scott F. Schilling (San Martin, United States) on 6 April 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

A rugged coastline section along the Big Sur Coast - Garrapata section - the dim light allowed for a long exposure and soft feel to the ocean water as dawn approached.

You have done well with this evocative expressive image Scott. The rocks are great but the sea is fantastic, just the right amount of exposure for the water

Great work Scott! I have been out of town, and just looked at the images from the past few days...They are superb! I especially love the beach "abstract" day before yesterday. That bit of seaweed in the foreground is so perfect for that scene...

EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United Kingdom

Not only a brilliant piece of photography, but also a masterful use of processing skills that brings the scene to life. The rocks are so real I could almost touch them. The textural and light qualities are first class. Could be the surface of an alien planet. A stunning work, Scott.
