First Sierra Light

Posted by Scott F. Schilling (San Martin, United States) on 9 March 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

A clear dawn breaks along the crest of the High Sierra Nevada Mountains. This photograph was taken at approximately 8,000' in elevation and I had a very hard time keeping warm waiting for the sun to rise - the temperature was 3 degrees Fahrenheit. This is at the crest of the Sierra Nevada Range - about 10 miles to the east the Mountains drop dramatically to the valley floor of the Carson, Nevada area.

Muy bonita imagen, me gusta el detalle que tiene cada cosa y esos colores brillantes del amanecer. Los dos árboles dorados por la luz le dan un encanto especial.
I will be travelling from nex wednesday and probably I won't be able to look at and comment your photos.
I'm going to Syracuse, NY.
