Winter in the Diablo Range

I had been dreaming about this photograph and planning for a couple of years - at last - a cold winter storm dropped snow levels to the coastal range of the San Francisco Bay Area with a plentiful amount of snow. I was able to photograph this old oak standing tall and majestic against the elements in the Diablo Range of California.

Oh my goodness. What a photograph. What a snow! This is so amazingly beautiful. Nothing but white...even the sky. I would be dreaming of this too.

And it was so worth the wait, and planning, Scott. I would chew my right arm off for a shot as stunning as this..... well maybe not actually chew it off, maybe just sink my teeth into my own flesh.... but you get my drift! ha ha
