Half Dome and the Sierra Nevada Range

I attended a photography workshop with Gary Hart -aided by Don Smith in the fall. A very enjoyable and educational workshop! We hiked a short distance to Sentinel Dome - a rock dome above Yosemite Valley at about 8,122' above sea level. From this location the view was incredible and awe inspiring. I could have stayed there for a few hours just to take in the magnitude of the entire mountain range and the incredible geologic forms that exist within view. This photograph is looking east towards the Crest of the Sierra Nevada Range. Half Dome is in the center of the photo - the top at an elevation of 8836'. The mountains along the crest rise up to 12,000' and 13,000' above sea level. The last bit of sunlight was catching the high clouds that formed over the crest of the Sierra Nevada.

@Don Smith: Don, I need to learn to work the rocket wing jet that straps on your back like the man in Europe recently tested - this would be great in winter after a storm!

This is a very different view of Half Dome ... probably my favorite mountain after Denali.
Your processing works well here on the range of mountains.
