Yosemite Valley along the Merced RiverPosted by Scott F. Schilling (San Martin, United States) on 2 January 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. I have been reviewing my photos from a fall Yosemite Trip. I found a few more that had some different fog and cloud formations that I am processing. I apologize for the repetition, however, I enjoy the view! This is taken along the Merced River as an Autumn storm clears from the valley at Sunrise. The photo is a combination of 7 images combined as an HDR and then processed in Photoshop CS3. ALL IMAGES ARE AVAILABLE AS FINE ART PRINTS - PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA EMAIL IF YOU SEE ENYTHING THAT YOU WOULD LIKE AS A PRINT EXCITING NEWS - YOU CAN NOW LISTEN TO MY PODCAST AND FOLLOW ALONG WITH ME ON MY PHOTOGRAPHY ADVENTURES!

Yonatan from Bronx, United StatesStunning. Absolutely stunning. Your HDR shots are really tempting me to play around with this technique, but for now I think I will stick with learning the basics. 2 Jan 2009 5:10am @Yonatan: I don't use it with close ups, but I love to use it with landscapes - especially at sunset and sunrise, or if there are clouds in the sky. I use Photomatix - which is very simple to learn and is a lot of fun to see the results. There are some excellent tutorials on the web now including an article in this months Outdoor Photographer magazine on HDR imaging. You have to be willing to spend more time processing, and you have to take more images of each composition. Don Smith Photography also has some excellent information on his website. Thanks for your comments! @Lídia: Lidia, thanks for the kind words!
