Diablo Range Sunrise

This is an early morning sunrise along the Diablo Range - the Eastern Hills bordering the Santa Clara Valley, CA, USA. The photo was taken at an elevation of about 2,600' above sea level looking east towards the central valley and Sierra Nevada Mountains. This location allows for 100+ miles of visibility to the east - which on this morning as a storm appoached the west coast - lit up the underside of the clouds for the entire distance. This is a combination of 7 images combined as an HDR image.
